Raisin Cookies Recipe

Traditional Newfoundland Raisin Cookies Recipe

3/4 cup of softened unsalted butter
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1 cup of packed brown sugar
1/2 cup of white sugar
1 tsp. of cinnamon
1/2 tsp.baking soda
1/4 cup of milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 large egg
3 cups of large oatmeal flakes
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup or raisins
1 tbsp. cookie dough

Preheat oven at 350F

Mix butter brown sugar milk egg sugar and vanilla together until mix is fluffy. Blend together flour baking soda salt and cinnamon.add to moist mixture gradually. mix well. add oat flakes and raisins. place a tablespoon of cookie dough on greased cookie sheet. bake for 12-15 minutes.let cookies cool and enjoy makes about 3 dozen cookies.
